In 1992, Dr. Anita Cornett and a board of local community members formed a private nonprofit corporation, Christian Healthcare Services with a mission of providing quality healthcare in a Christian environment. The clinic grew through the years with many successes including the first ACR accredited mammography unit in the region. Last year, Dr. Cornett and William Hall, CEO of FNS, Inc, began discussions of working together for common goals to better serve our community. Seeing the success of the partnership on some small projects, both parties decided that with our common goals, together our successes could have a much greater impact on our community. In April of 2005, Christian Healthcare Services became a part of Frontier Nursing Healthcare with a new but similar name, Christian Family Healthcare. The providers and staff of Christian Family Healthcare are proud to be a part of the mission Mary Breckinridge birthed in eastern Kentucky.
